There weren't too many kind souls in the world like the one Cub possesed. The short guy was the poster boy for sweetness. He was kind, caring, supportive and nurturing. To some, that was quite obnoxious. To others? Cub was someone worth protecting. And despite his upbringing, Cub never let his light dim for anyone or anything. Kindness was simply in his nature and ingrained into his DNA. Somehow.

You see, Cub is a werebear shifter. He stayed almost exclusively in his human state because...well, his werebear state was just a big fat furry painfully adorably round jiggly unintimidating bear. Who would be scared of that?! A furry butterball of a bear rolling around and showing its belly for scratches and rubs? Cub was a member of the X-Men superhero team, though, not for his power or combat prowess. It was for his willingness to protect the innocent, while having incredibly keen senses of smell and sound.

Since reaching full maturity? All of that had changed! Now he's a tall, buff, broadly built hairy hungry hunk of a man! No longer chubby, no longer the sweet caring type. Oh no sir. You see, werebear shifters reach full maturity by the age of 22. The X-Men, along with friends like Greg Jameson and Bruno had known Cub as being the short chubby hairy sweetheart. Not...not the hunk he'd turned into! And now Cub cussed like a fucking sailor! Drank beer! And was horny!

"Why the did nobody tell me beer was so good! I'm gonna kill Logan for holding out on me!"

Cub has a tragic background that some would call a sob story. He was raised in a werebear den far away in a mystical forest. Among them, Cub was the only one of his nature: soft, and far too caring. Most werebears, especially the fully matured ones, respect nothing but power. To the den, Cub was considered the black sheep. The outcast. And they'd beaten him daily trying to force out that softness. Didn't work. Cub eventually escaped, fearing for his life, and did not let the abuse change his ways!

Of course, now that Cub is now fully matured and fundamentally changed, he's got every right to go to that den of abusive pricks and them all up big time! He's got the raw power and confidence now. Some would say his newfound change also brought upon some arrogance. Cub knows he's the shit now. And hot too. Did we mention that? He's fucking hot. Even Logan was shocked by the transformation to full maturity! Even considered...nah. No!

"Hell yeah I'd Logan. I mean...he'd have to teach me how. But I'd be down!"

The transformation from sweet, caring, nurturing, nervous, anxiety ridden Cub to this new overly confident, tall, hairy, hot, powerful, dominant man was jarring. It took Greg and Bruno some getting used to. And Tracy Whitmore, Cub's enemy? Still hates Cub. And she'd never admit it to anyone, would rather eat glass really. But she found this new version of Cub HOT! Cub's confidence issues died with his transformation, and now he's not just a skilled tracker but also a very potent brawler.

The Blind Wolf is owned and bartended by Greg Jameson, while the bouncer and peacekeeper is Bruno. Both close friends with Cub, and extremely protective over him. Even now, after reaching full maturity. Sure, Cub cusses, drinks alcohol, and is horny as all hell. But to Greg and Bruno, he's still their little Cubby.
