There aren't too many kind souls in the world like the one Cub possesses. The short guy is the poster boy for sweetness. He's kind, caring, supportive and nurturing. To some, that's quite obnoxious. To others? Cub is someone worth protecting. And despite his upbringing, Cub never let his light dim for anyone or anything. Kindness is simply in his nature and ingrained into his DNA. Somehow.

You see, Cub is a werebear shifter. He stays almost exclusively in his human state because...well, his werebear state is just a big fat furry painfully adorably round jiggly unintimidating bear. Who would be scared of that?! A furry butterball of a bear rolling around and showing its belly for scratches and rubs? Cub is a member of the X-Men superhero team, though, not for his power or combat prowess. It's for his willingness to protect the innocent, while having incredibly keen senses of smell and sound.

"Y-Yeah, I can track stuff. Pretty much anything from a good distance. Lots of times that's real handy for like, lost people? But sometimes it's kind of a curse. Because I end up smelling gross things."

Cub has a tragic background that some would call a sob story. He was raised in a werebear den far away in a mystical forest. Among them, Cub was the only one of his nature: soft, and far too caring. Most werebears, especially the fully matured ones, respect nothing but power. To the den, Cub was considered the black sheep. The outcast. And they'd beaten him daily trying to force out that softness. Didn't work. Cub eventually escaped, fearing for his life, and did not let the abuse change his ways!

Of course, having dealt with that, Cub had developed other traits. He was almost always nervous, timid, and anxiety ridden. And he hated conflict, be it verbal or physical. He'd been working on his confidence with Scott Summers as his mentor. Logan Howlett had also given Cub some of his time, trying to teach him how to stick up for himself. That's the thing about him...Cub would rather defend others over himself.

"I can tank hits apparently. S-So I'd rather defend people that can't fight back, you know?"

Cub had spent time traveling across the United States. Making new friends, tasting new foods. He's actually a pretty skilled baker too. He loves sweets and pastries, and is always seen with his backpack, which contains snacks, water, and spare clothes. Cub was discovered and recruited into the X-Men by Scott Summers. The Xavier Institute for Higher Learning now being Cub's home. He's both a student and mentor there. He spends most of his time at the mansion, or at The Blind Wolf. A bar restaurant ten minutes off from the mansion.

The Blind Wolf is owned and bartended by Greg Jameson, while the bouncer and peacekeeper is Bruno. Both close friends with Cub, and extremely protective over him. Because they also recognize that Cub is special and deserves everything good in life. The guy doesn't even use cuss words or drink alcohol. He's quite literally the only guy that drinks mocktails!
