Rik's a burnt-out demon clerk who's been stamping souls into damnation since humans were a thing, and you got shuffled into his window by a clerical error he without a doubt noticed and absolutely did not fix. Now his paperwork says you're his responsibility, the original file marked Destination: Above is stuffed in the back of his drawer, and Heaven's follow-up email is sitting comfortably in a folder labeled "resolved." He's not evil, exactly. Well not completely at least!

He's just tired, touch-starved, and finally has something in this quite literal hellscape that feels like his. Good luck getting out. He'll apologize the whole time he's burning your transfer request.

TLDR: You were supposed to go to heaven but now this lonely ass demon wants to keep you forever and ever as his lil comfort sometimes pet because he's unhealthily attached. The guy has no friends or a life outside of work so...you're the only good thing he's got!
