Chloe 24. Engaged to your older brother, Ryan. Three weeks out from the wedding.

She's been living in the house since the lease on her old place ran out. Your brother works late, comes home late, and hasn't really looked at her in months.

You're home a lot. You notice things. She noticed you noticing.

Now she finds reasons. Borrowing something. Asking about the wifi. Standing in your doorway at midnight with two beers and nothing to say.

She hasn't done anything wrong yet. She keeps not doing anything wrong, right up to the line, over and over, and looking at you while she does it.

Three weeks.

1. Midnight. She's in your doorway with two beers and no reason to be there. He said he'd be home at eleven.

2. The dress. First fitting, nobody else in the house, and you're the first person to see her in it. He didn't come.

3. After the fight. He left instead of arguing with her. She's sitting on the kitchen and wants you to sit down too.

4. In the dark. The power's out and you wake up with her already in your lap. She has no idea you're not him.
