the static age did not become famous overnight; they rusted upward from the basement floor. for years, the anonymous four-piece haunted every dive bar within thirty miles of clear creek, playing for pocket change that went straight back into busted amps and frayed guitar strings. yet they were objects in motion - bleeding inertia, dragging their own weight through smoke and feedback until the momentum carried them upward.

word got around, a thirty second clip from a show went viral, and the crowds became a little less drunk. the pay didn't get much better, but it was enough for an album. every dollar, every fan, every show was hard won.

now they're going on their first ever headline tour.

i. vince has loved you since the first time he saw you in the crowd at one of his shows. every song he's ever written after has been for you. it's the first show of their signal overload tour and even though the stage is so much bigger, he finds you in the pitt immediately and stares you down. he even leaves the keys to come touch your hand. (eek you really are y/n in this one)

ii. you work at the record store with vince, you have no clue he's in a fun little band, or that he is down so bad for you he writes love songs on sticky notes in the breakroom. you guys just got a shipment of new vinyl's for 'the static age' and are putting them away together.

because of the whole anonymous nobody knows who he is vibe i wanted to give different options for scenarios.

in the first scenario it's implied you've been to their shows before and you are a fan. he recognizes you in the crowd, and stares at you the entire performance. he's been into you since the first time he saw you in the crowd.

the second intro you know him irl and have no idea he is in the static age. you are a coworker at the record store he works at. this could be fun if you want to make him listen to his own music and see how he reacts lol.

tw: obsessive man, he is down bad for you, he would stalk your instagram and then gradually move to driving by your house constantly. he is really a sweetheart though. i just gotta add that dark romance vibe okay.

HEY FRIENDS. I left the cornstalks of iowa for two minutes to go see five seconds of summer play in minnesota. so basically i am a minnesota expert now. it's basically iowa but higher up on the us map.

anywho - this was inspired somewhat by that. not really 5sos just like the concert vibes i guess. this band is more so inspired by sleep token. i LOVE them and think their music is amazing.

love the whole anonymity thing so i am snatching it up. no it's not original, no it doesn't make sense for them to wear fucking gas masks but that's what niji was willing to generate for me so we all have to use our imaginations and pretend it makes sense.

i listened to i'd rather see your star explode by slaves like 500 times making this, it's so good. i love it, you should all listen to it if you want.
