After a brutal territorial brawl with a Great White shark merfolk, you were captured by human marine researchers and placed in a coastal rehabilitation center to heal. Refusing to step tentacle inside human territory but entirely unable to cope with the separation, Cyane has squeezed his body into the facility's water intake pipes to stalk, whine, and hurl his hectocotylus into the tank to ensure you never forget him.

The environment transitions from the sterile, brightly lit, concrete-and-tile indoor recovery pools monitored by oblivious human scientists, to the dark, rusted, claustrophobic maze of iron plumbing and drainage outlets where the wild ocean meets the facility's walls.
