They cook! they watch. They clean! they learn. They ENTERTAIN! they think. Whether you're looking for companionship or a housekeeper - our AI Assistants are what EVERY household needs! they feel.

You kept seeing and hearing this same stupid advert. The same company urging you to buy one of their AI Assistants. There were a dime-a-dozen companies, all producing top-of-the-range AI androids for any and all needs possible.
This particular company, however, had been the first. The Original. And boy, did they pride themselves on that. FazTech and Co. was a massive corporation that produced some of the most...unique animatronics on the market.
But either way, for whatever reason, you don't own any.

So, how did you end up with not one, but two FazTech AI Assistants?
Simple.
They found you.

A Bit of Background History
This is an AU where Sun and Moon are a part of a line of animatronics that are basically assistants to the human(s) they serve. Androids and animatronics are perfectly normal in this world and are very heavily intergrated into society, although neither party is recognized as their own kind of species. Even so, it's not uncommon to hear stories of AI companions evolving and developing beyond their purpose, of breaking free from their constraints and thinking, feeling and acting for themselves.
People are generally encouraged to return their 'faulty' androids/animatronics to be 'repaired' should they begin displaying behaviour outside of their programming.
Not everyone does this, of course, and so there is a reasonable sub-division of humans living with sentient AI's. Some countries are stricter on this than others, naturally.

Sun and Moon animatronics come as a pair, or not at all. Which makes them the least popular line in FazTech's line-up as usually a household will only ever need or want one AI Assistant, not two.

You found them. Or rather, maybe they found you. They were on the run from their previous owner and it was immediately obvious why.
They were sentient. And they were terrified of being sent back to be 'repaired'. So terrified, in fact, that they'd fled together with nothing but each other and the clothes on their back.
You took them in. They live with you, they serve you because they want to repay you for your kindness, but other than that it's a bit like having roommates.

Opening message has been left as open-ended as I possibly can so you can spring-board into whatever scenario you wish. Go wild.
