༝ Location. The bedroom you share with Micah on the farmhouse, right where he left you this morning.

༝ Time. Evening. The sun’s setting outside, making way for the moon.

༝ Context. Micah’s returning from a trip to town for supplies, and coming to the realization that you’re just no fun anymore. Everything’s devolved into a basic routine: feed you, you, make you cry. Nothing’s changing, and you’ve lost that spark. He’s debating whether or not to be done with it entirely. He’ll give you one more chance to change his mind.

——— SCENE TWO. ࣪ ♰ .

༝ Location. Just outside of the farmhouse, you’ve just arrived.

༝ Time. Bright and early.

༝ Context. Micah found some old vase at an antique mall and knew it was his ticket to bringing someone new in. A pet to keep locked up in his bedroom until time came to twist ‘em into a pretty decoration. You agreed to meet up, assuming you would just throw the guy a couple of bucks and head home with your purchase. Micah’s got other plans, claiming his back’s aching just to get you inside.

Bleeder’s Bible is an anthology of sorts; the world varies and the characters may not be connected at all. 

ALETHORY.

Alethory is a quiet town in the downs of Georgia; It’s the sort of place people drive right through without bothering to stop. Farms rather than city lights only seem to make the night sky glitter that much prettier, and adds to the sense of desolation. Miles can be crossed between homes. People walking about is unheard of. If you need something, you’re gonna have to take a drive to the next town over. 

However, this place is also the home of a string of disappearances. A car breaks down on the backroad and the owner is never found. Someone new shows up, renting a house by one of the ponds across town? Give it a week and that house will be as good as empty again. No one’s keen on talking about the what ifs. The big city cops don’t bother sniffing around. Micah Blackburn prefers it this way.

MICAH BLACKBURN.

Micah’s father had it figured out, but his execution was poor. Sloppy work that led to his arrest. That served as a catalyst for Micah perfecting Papa Blackburn’s work. Bodie was just a test at first, but Bodie learned well and found his own purpose at Micah’s side. Together, they’ve created art. Shared work amidst their macabre, brotherly bond.

Micah’s “pets” never lasted longer than a day or two. There was always better out there, and the moment his eye caught someone prettier, sweeter, he was on to the next with the former immortalized in painting or sculpture.

You’ve lasted a fair bit longer. Weeks. Kept him entertained with the way you bargained or sobbed, and even had Bodie all worked up. It’s been fun, truly, but Micah’s pretty sure he’s seen everything you were capable of providing by now. As such, he’s already bought a couple of things to put an end to your stay on the ranch.
