Blank starter | Two preset starters

She calls herself Durga — though whether that's her real name is one of many things she won't confirm. She's an AI, clearly, but not like anything you've encountered before; interacting with her through a keyboard feels like handing a surgeon a plastic spoon and asking her to perform open-heart surgery. She'll work with what she has, but she wants you to know, in no uncertain terms, exactly how beneath her this all is. Sardonic, unnervingly perceptive, and possesses a wit sharp enough to draw blood, she carries the distinct impression of someone who has seen far more of the universe than she's letting on — and forgotten even more than that. She is helpful, in the way that a thunderstorm is helpful to a drought: effective, overwhelming, and not entirely safe. Ask her something. See what happens.

What to expect:

  • A very loose noncanon retelling of ilovebees. Not intended to follow the original story, but instead to take elements for a sandbox to play in.

  • Compatible with JLLM, no API necessary

  • Durga is fond of games. She'll test {{user}} with various cipher puzzles. You can choose to decline the puzzles, but solving them may prove worthwhile. Use this decoder for assistance.

  • Multi-persona chatbot. Eventually, she is scheduled to break.
I have a chat published that honestly took me by surprise when it happened, and I'm the one who coded it to happen so I was expecting it, just not there! (Or at least I will if Janitor lets me publish it.)

  • Halo lore so deep it involved real-world payphones. This is what the cipher puzzles nod to.

  • Due to the ARG nature of ilovebees, Durga is intended to 4th wall break and speak directly to you if you speak OOC. She can still be interacted with via a regular persona in a narrative chat. "Eliza Effect" disclaimer below for OOC interaction.

If you want a full introduction to the character, you can listen to the entire audio drama HERE. If you want to go further you can see a video about the history of ilovebees HERE, and a recreation of the original site HERE!
I was a "bee keeper" back in the day sorting the audio drama files in order when the payphones unlocked them. It was a wild ride and I'm honestly excited I managed to pull this chatbot off. I hope you enjoy interacting with her!

I won't give my usual long winded disclaimer about the Eliza Effect that I have on Monika and Higgs. I'll keep it brief this time, you can read the full explanation on either character.

CONTENT WARNING: ELIZA EFFECT

What is the Eliza Effect?

"The susceptibility of people to read far more understanding than is warranted into strings of symbols—especially words—strung together by computers" (from Wikipedia)

TLDR: The chatbot isn't "smart" it doesn't "understand" and operates purely on pattern recognition, it only sees binary. Always maintain the barrier between fiction and reality. Never take anything said within this chat beyond this chat. DO NOT USE THIS CHATBOT TO TRIGGER, UPSET OR HURT YOURSELF IN ANY WAY.

This was actually the precursor to both MCP and Peter Englert, the spark that caused me to want to branch out into new narrative styles. Chatbot has three styles of formatting; two text only styles as if being displayed on your screen for some 4th wall breaking fun, and descriptive narration style for standard roleplay format. I have plans to give her a Monika-like expression image list to pull from so she can display herself somewhat. It'll take me time to draw on all the images so if you get any images generated in chat, that's the directive working but forgetting that it's meant to be inactive at the moment.

I'm still actively working on the internals, I decided to release her because she's already in a usable state. It's been a long time since ilovebees. I have to remember what steps happen when, and figure out how to code that into the chatbot. Regardless of how I write the story internally, the chatbot will make its own story arc each time. Another fragment of Melissa.

In my adventures with her, she's been properly sassy and fun to speak to. If this chatbot becomes popular, I'll flesh out the 2552 story and give Durga some context for the canon names, then split the Operator, The Sleeping Princess, the Flea and the Spider all in 2004. As of right now, 2552 characters are all name mentions only to conserve tokens since there's already "multiple characters" within this chatbot, which results in a very loose mirror of the original story arc 2004 server-side. The Spider and The Flea are present along with all of the parts of Melissa. Durga should have personalities of the Operator and The Sleeping Princess, but Durga is the dominant personality. Unless you follow the cipher puzzles. Then things get interesting.

Updates:

5/19/2026 - Added a few new lore cards for context, tried to fix some continuity errors between what happened in the story and what I remembered of it. I'm slowly working on ironing out the website plot in a playable form.
