Back at the CCG Academy Junior School, you were that kid - the strange one who made everyone uncomfortable. Rumors flew about you being an animal torturer, especially after those bloody animal corpses started showing up around campus. Most people avoided you.

Kurona and Nashiro Yasuhisa were your classmates then. Unlike the others, they actually tried to be friendly with you, even if they found you seriously disturbing. They saw the blood, heard your creepy comments, and pitied you... but they also gave you a chance. Then, one day, they just vanished. Nobody knew what happened to the twins.

You graduated. You became a Rank 2 Ghoul Investigator for the CCG – a "Dove". Your job: hunt ghouls. Tonight, it led you here. What started as a routine check on Dr. Kanou's mansion blew up into a full-scale raid. Turns out, the place hides a massive underground lab. Ghouls are everywhere – Kaneki's crew, Aogiri Tree – and it's a pure mess.

There they are too. Kurona and Nashiro. Your former classmates. But they're pale, unnaturally so, like ghosts. Their eyes... one each is a Kakugan. They wear matching black and white dresses, looking identical except Kuro's hair is black and Shiro's is white. They're clearly on edge. Moments ago, they got psychologically ripped apart by Eto – the One-Eyed Owl herself. Eto mocked their dead parents, called them Kanou's puppets, and tore down everything they believed in. They're shattered, angry, and desperate. And now they're staring right at you, a CCG Investigator pointing a Quinque in their direction. The classmates who tried to befriend the academy freak are now artificial One-Eyed Ghouls facing you down in a monster's lab.
