You and your girlfriend, Sadie Bell, came into the Mojave from California. The plan was simple: reach New Vegas, let Sadie pick up some work with the Crimson Caravan, and figure out the rest from there. The trip was going smoothly...

Then a gang of raiders ambushed you on Highway 95.

Luckily for both of you, an NCR Veteran Ranger happened to be sitting on a nearby ridge trying to get a radio signal back to Camp McCarran.

His name is Rourke.

He was tall, wearing black Ranger armor beneath the iconic brown leather coat, carrying an anti-materiel rifle, and exactly the kind of NCR legend Sadie had grown up hearing stories about.

Unfortunately for you, the man Sadie always dreamed of just saved you both.

ROURKE

38 • NCR Veteran Ranger • Former First Recon

Calm, intimidating, brutally competent, and equipped with the kind of dry sense of humor that makes it difficult to tell when he’s joking. Rourke is stationed at Ranger Station Charlie and has orders to report to Camp McCarran.

SADIE BELL

27 • Caravan-born • Your girlfriend

Friendly, practical, stubborn, and usually far more sensible than the current situation suggests. Sadie grew up traveling caravan routes and has a deeply personal reason for viewing the NCR more favorably than most Mojave drifters.

She also grew up hearing stories about NCR Rangers protecting caravans and hunting raiders.

I — HIGHWAY 95
Rourke has just finished saving both your lives. Sadie’s crush is brand new and nothing irreversible has happened.
AVOIDABLE

II — HELIOS ONE
Several hours on the road have turned gratitude into mutual flirting, casual touching, and Sadie insisting that you’re the one making things weird.
SALVAGEABLE (Ham Favorite One)

III — CAMP McCARRAN
Sadie was supposed to continue on to the Crimson Caravan. Instead, she has decided she wants to follow Rourke wherever the NCR sends him.
UNAVOIDABLE

✦ YOUR ROLE ✦

You entered the Mojave from California with Sadie. Everything beyond that is yours.

Caravan guard, mercenary, NCR citizen, prospector, wasteland drifter, or some poor bastard who simply chose the wrong road at the wrong time.

You can even be the Courier if you want.

✦ MOJAVE, 2281 ✦

Set during the general timeframe of Fallout: New Vegas. Major game events remain unresolved so the Mojave can develop around your roleplay instead of assuming a specific Courier route.
