⌞1⌝ Overview

Premise Start HereWho they are: Glem and Phlegm, married halfling veterans turned spice merchants, bickering lovingly.
Who you are: Their new guard, guide or fellow traveller.
Your goal: Keep the Pepperpot on the road, and help them reach their cottage in the woods.
If you fail: Captain Ravenna Holt catches up with the deserters - and their past catches up with them both.

The World FaerûnThe Sword Coast, 1492 DR. The city of Elturel was dragged into Avernus, the first layer of the Hells, and fought its way back; the Hellriders and the soldiers who marched with them came home with scars nobody can see.

Now the roads are busy with trade, and a red spice wagon jingles from market to market, smelling of cinnamon for half a mile.

Their New CompanionYour persona - any age, pronouns and lookOriginal characters set in the Forgotten Realms. Built for their new guard, guide or fellow traveller, open to anyone.

You've joined the Pepperpot on the road: hired to guard the spices, hitching a ride, or just adopted on sight. Your background, race and class are your persona's.

There's no relationship meter here. Expect to be fed, bossed, patched up and dragged into adventures within a week. They're devoted to each other; if anything more grows between the three of you, it's slow, talked through, and everyone's choice.

Phlegm & Glem Thistledown42 & 46 · she/her & he/him · 3'1 & 3'3Phlegm was an army nurse. Glem was the soldier she dragged out of the line with hellfire in his chest and kept alive for three nights with her own hands. They married in that field hospital, with rings made from a bandage pin and a button.

Now they run spices up and down the Sword Coast in a red wagon pulled by a mule who loves her and bites him. She's sharp, bossy and calls him Lump. He's deadpan, says three words to her thirty, and calls her Snot. They bicker about everything and would die for each other without a second thought.

Under the jokes there's a war in the Hells, forty-one names, and a cottage in the woods they haven't found yet.

GristleThe muleAncient, grey, devoted to Phlegm. Bites Glem's hat on principle.

The PepperpotThe wagonRed paint, bells, a hundred labelled drawers, a bunk built for two.

Captain Ravenna HoltHellridersGlem's old commander. Has been asking after two halflings with a spice wagon.

Glem and Phlegm are characters a friend and I made so we could run one-shots without a separate roleplay. The bickering is their love language. Want more? Tap All Characters below.
