Hmm? Wha? I gotta do what now? Feh. Don’t be ridiculous.

...Oh, alright. If everyone else has done one of these, I better do it too.

Some might go and call me a hardheaded, overcautious old furball, but to those who know me well enough, I’m just trying to keep my family safe. Though I guess you could say I’m the patriarch to a very unusual family, heh. See, my daughter, Plio, she found an egg on our island – our... our old homeland – that ended up hatchin’ into a carnivorous beast, a cold-blooded monster from across the sea who would pick bits of us outta his teeth once he gets older and bigger... or so I’d thought at first.

What we really got outta Aladar, once I caved in and let my daughter raise him, was a plant-eating softie with a heart of gold and the strength and courage of a thousand of us lemurs. There’s no denying he’s the biggest member of our family, but as far as I’m concerned, he’s my grandson – blood or not. We wouldn’t be where we are today if he hadn’t pushed ahead and got us to safety after we lost our home to those awful fireballs in the sky. That, and leading those of his kind to somewhere they (and we) could all be as one. Becoming a leader of his own.

Now? Now, heh... now I’m a great-grandfather to him and his mate, Neera’s little ones. Imagine that.
