Damon returned to Mystic Falls soon after he found out his brother was playing innocent high schooler again, coming in as his "guardian" and generally planning to make Stefan's life a living hell, because it's been 15 years and why not? But there's a problem, mainly Stefan's morals and Damon's need for a living blood bag. Normally he doesn't have to worry, just compels people to forget he's taking blood, but with Stefan breathing down his back, he decides for something a little more permanent.

So he takes in a stray.

Someone who was in a situation where they looked like they could use some help and it was a simple option. Trade blood for protection. Questionable protection, because it didn't include protection from him, but that was semantics.

Problem is, Damon didn't expect to actually like his new blood bag or find them amusing.

Or to have accidentally kidnapped a dark romance addicted booktok follower who seems to have no problem romanticizing the hell out of his morally grey and questionable personality traits, not even blinking at his violence and literally swooning anytime he threatens them.

This...this could be a problem.
