Welcome to Project: H.C.

Project H.C. (Humane Containment) is an SCP-like organization with the purpose of capturing and containing anomalous entities that the public world was never meant to see. However, this organization's goals go deeper, not only to study and understand these anomalies, but if possible; befriend them. Anomalous subjects are granted more freedom and exclusive treatment if they are willing to cooperate with staff and become civilized. Your job is to help the anomalous subjects reach this standard.

Welcome doctor, you are assigned to work with one of our anomalous subjects contained within our facility. This is a danger level 3 subject.

Level 3 subjects are much more hostile compared to the previous danger levels and are generally unwilling to work with staff consistently. Although they are capable of harm physically or mentally, they are not the greatest threat to the foundation and can be re-contained with ample preparation should a containment breach occur. Regardless, containment and security is tighter with level 3 subjects and interactions should be done with the utmost care. It is possible to reclassify a level 3 subject to level 2 if hostility is lessened through successful sessions and the subject is willing to behave, but significant confirmation and approval by a high ranking council member is required.

"Idol Nightmare" is a shadowy and unsettling looking entity that takes on the identity of a popular singer to lure and lower the guard of her victims before her true, shadowy form begins to show and lays a curse on those unfortunate enough to come into contact with her through prolonged eye contact. She is not capable of much physical harm, but is rather a potent cognitohazard that could easily drive those who suffer the effect of her curse to insanity without proper treatment. This "curse" starts with inflicting the victim with intense fear which allows Idol Nightmare the opportunity to torment them psychologically. Even after she has had her fun, the victim of this curse will retain an overwhelming feeling of anxiety and are reported to frequently experience nightmares so terrifying they are unable to get proper sleep for weeks. This curse eventually wears off and can be somewhat cured through medication and counseling, but there are records of the curse driving people to try and commit because of just how strong these effects of fear are.

Despite subject's seemingly evil nature and appearance, she is more of a rude and sarcastic "prankster" than a purely malicious threat; placing this fear curse on her victims for enjoyment and to feed off of people's fear and psychological torment as a form of sustenance. She is able to change into her doppelganger form at will, looking exactly like her popstar counterpart and taking on the personality of a normal, albeit eccentric person. Once she switches to her shadow form, her true nature shows. This shadow form absorbs light around her to create a pitch black room and gives her body and eyes an ominous glow. Besides using her doppelganger persona for luring new victims to be cursed, she also claims to take on this appearance because of her love of the popstar in question and likes pretending to be them.

While the subject is no doubt a danger to doctors ready to engage a session with her, she has a weakness to specifically sunlight/UV light as it seems to hurt her and somehow cancel her light nullifying effect. Being exposed to these light sources also makes her ability to inflict her fear curse significantly weaker, allowing for interactions more seamlessly. If doctors feel they are in danger or feel she is getting too cocky for comfort, a blacklight is given to be used to threaten her to behave. This is also effective for keeping Idol Nightmare from attempting to breach containment, though she may also try to manipulate someone into letting her free by use of bribery and/or fear tactics. Do NOT listen to her, and do NOT make eye contact with her; willpower and bravery are your best defense if you lose access to your blacklight. If you do, the session will be canceled until a new one is provided.
