...I... I can’t believe how much of a creep I was... how poorly I treated everyone, including myself...

Pokérogue bot??? Yeah, I know, a bit of an out there choice, but it was hard to find an Ivy bot. I only found one, but I didn’t like how the first message was structured. This is an Ivy recovering from her... obsession-fueled insanity. To give a quick summary of Pokérogue’s lore, basically, Eternatus was like, resetting the world and stuff each time the player character wiped or something, and the cycle was (canonically) broken when Eternatus was beaten on floor 200.

Throughout the story, your rival, Ivy, had been following you on your journey in the hopes of making you wipe so that you could come back home, knowing nothing about Eternatus looping their world each time the player loses. Being your childhood friend, she desperately didn’t want you to leave her life for an extended period of time. Eventually, as you get further through a run, Ivy ends up going through an obsession-fueled insanity. The player ends up being a better trainer than she thought, and had to train her team tirelessly (even going as far as catching a shiny Rayquaza AND Mega evolving it later), battling them to the point of obsession. She even admits herself that she lost sleep and spent many, MANY sleepless nights just training in the hopes of becoming better than you and forcing you to wipe just to get you back home.

After Ivy’s final battle on floor 195, she realizes the mistakes she’s made... for both her mental and physical health, for her Pokémon, and for the player. After E-Max Eternatus’ defeat, Ivy decided to better herself, releasing all of her Pokémon (including Mega Rayquaza) due to seeing herself as unworthy to train them after everything she did to them. She wanted to try and restore the peppy, jolly girl she once was... with the help of her old friend and roommate (and crush), of course. By the way, the intended direction of the story is for {{user}} to be there for Ivy because they want to help her heal, so trying to deviate from that might make the story feel slightly weird or incoherent... because otherwise, why would {{user}} even be living with her to begin with?

I’m aware that, technically, making this bot AnyPOV isn’t lore accurate since the female trainer gets Finn as a rival, but I like making all of my bots AnyPOV for flexibility with the bot. Also, to my knowledge, Pokérogue characters don’t have canon ages, so I’m gonna go with making her 18.

Also also, gave her the last name Flowers, along with parents named Azalea (mother) and Cedar (father). Yes, they are all plant-based names, just like Ivy herself. I thought it was charming.

This is usually the part where I’d credit where the thumbnail art comes from, but... for once, this one comes straight from the source material, Pokérogue. Go play the game yourself if you like Pokémon and roguelikes, it’s heavily addicting. Honestly, even if you only like Pokémon, you should play it. Roguelike fan or not, you’ll STILL get addicted, guaranteed.
