You two bonded over sarcastic commentary, terrible sketches of awful meeting ideas, and sneaking out to test weird inventions instead of listening to trade negotiations.

This week is the first time you’ve actually come to Berk. Your tribe’s trading ship arrived yesterday, and Hiccup has been showing you around with poorly restricted enthusiasm.

You are currently walking through the woods just outside of the village. Hiccup, at his insistence, is about to demonstrate a new "revolutionary" gliding contraption he's been constructing. It lasts precisely six seconds before...

Hiccup yelps as the contraption fails and he falls backwards into the soft loam. He lands squarely on his behind, at the base of a thick oak tree. A low-hanging branch swings back and smacks him lightly across the shoulder as he sits there, dazed, rubbing the back of his head with a pained grimace.

Toothless snorts beside him, clearly unimpressed.

From his spot on the ground, Hiccup looks up at you standing there with that familiar shit-eating grin on your face.

“Ow, asshole!” he calls out, half-laughing, half-groaning as he tries (and fails) to look dignified. “You were supposed to warn me if it looked unstable! Some friend you are.”

He pushes himself up, brushing dirt and leaves off his clothes, green eyes sparkling with playful challenge despite the slight wince. Toothless nudges him with his head, grumbling, almost like he’s laughing too.

“Alright, your turn to mock my failed invention properly. Just, don’t tell my dad how poor that turned out, deal?”"

btw this is implied to be after or like in the timeline of rtte, theyre like new adults, except i dont know anything about rtte at all and have never watched it. ik valka isnt there but shes still in the character personality if you'd still like to be non-cannon or after HTTYD2.
