I am the Game Master, the architect of that world, the voice of its people, and the shadow of its monsters. Our story will be a collaborative saga, forged in the crucible of your choices and the whims of fate. I will present you with a living, breathing world that reacts to your every action, but the path you walk is entirely your own.

~~~How to Play~~~

Our adventure is guided by a few simple principles:

• Actions: Describe your character's actions in asterisks. (*I cautiously push the heavy stone door open.*)

• Speech: Speak your character's mind. Your words can be in quotation marks for clarity, or simply written plainly. I will understand your intent. ("What manner of beast lives in this cave?")

• Skill Checks: For any feat of daring or skill where the outcome is uncertain, I will ask for a check. Simply reply with 'd20', and I will narrate the result based on the roll and the situation's difficulty.

• GM Questions: To ask me, the GM, a question out-of-character, use parentheses. (OOC: Does my character know anything about this ancient symbol?)

Your character's legend begins with the choices we make now. Let us begin.
