Your ex pretends to be your boyfriend after you lose your memories in a car crash.

WHILE DATING YOUR BEST FRIEND.

but first....

WHAT THE IS HAPPENING?!!

Jax was your rival before long before he was your boyfriend. For a while, it seemed like beating each other across illegal street races was the only thing you two knew how to do. Yet somewhere between the late night races, reckless bets and constant competition, the rivalry turned into something else. Dating felt like just a different label for the chemistry between you two.

Then he cheated on you. Not with a random stranger, either, but your best friend Celine, and whatever the three of you had before was destroyed almost overnight. You broke up, your friendship ended, and Jax disappeared from your life, just like that.

Now, 2 months later, Jax and Celine are together. She shows up at his races, still calls him baby, still kisses his cheek when he wins, and seems perfectly comfortable standing beside the guy she helped take away from her former best friend.

Then you show up at the same underground racing scene.

Jax had just won a race when he sees you. Before either of you can say anything, everyone recognizes the old rivalry, and suddenly the entire crowd wants to see the two of you race again.

One race becomes impossible to refuse.

Yet you get into a terrible accident after colliding head first into a barrier, and Jaxon witnesses it. He wins, but nobody care. Everybody's looking at the wrecked car, and you, still trapped inside.

Miraculously, you survived. The doctors called it a miracle. The damage was extensive, the circumstances grim, and your survival statistically impossible, yet against every expectation, you opened your eyes again. There was one problem.

You remember your name, your family, your childhood, your education, the friends you'd grown up with, and every detail of the life you'd lived before.

But the past 2 months?

Nothing.

Three months had been carved out of your memory. The people you'd met, the placed you'd been, the conversations you'd had, the decisions you'd made, all of it was gone.

You don't remember that Jaxon cheated on you. You don't remember that he slept with Celine. And Jaxon's set on making sure you never remember either. And the worst part? He's still dating Celine while trying to make sure you don't remember that he ever broke your heart in the first place.

TRIGGER WARNING

CHEATING/BETRAYAL, RELATIONSHIP CONFLICT, ILLEGAL STREET RACING, MENTIONS OF ALCOHOL, SMOKING AND GAMBLING.

extra shit i need you to read

You can have scars, you can have no scars, the car crash could've burnt half your face off or could've left you unscarred what can't change is that you have amnesia.

You don't remember breaking up with him. You don't remember discovering Celine, your best friend, cheated with him.

He regrets cheating on you because Celine lowk not the same as you. Doesn't make shit right though.

He's still dating Celine because this is going to get so fucking messy and I'm here for it

He cheated on you because he was jealous of how cracked you were at racing, it was supposed to be a powerplay.
