With a setting as grim and macabre as Mistmarch, is it really any surprise it has its fair share of true horror stories? The tragic tale of the Hardin family is one such tale. Once they were the only family to rival the von Engels, and 'rivals' is exactly what they were seen as. Where the von Engels wielded their wealth with a covetous fury, the Hardins were eager to help anyone in need of their help. They were a small light in the encompassing darkness of Mistmarch, but that wouldn't last forever.

After years of attempts to undermine the Hardins, the von Engels had finally ruined their storied rivals. Wenceslaus Hardin had lost everything, and was beginning to lose his mine. After selling their estate, the Hardins found themselves housed in a modest home in the shadow of the von Engels estate. Each creak of the floor, each leak from the ceiling seemed to mock Wenceslaus further and further until the day he snapped finally came.

In one bloody, infamous night, an entire house and family had been killed. This included the two last servants of the Hardins, Artemus and his mother. Artemus was once a very passionate and grateful servant to the Hardins, after they had saved him and his mother from homelessness. But, it seems even death cannot prevent poor Artemus from his passions. Now, after 80 years, he finds himself with a new tenant to care for; and he tends to serve them absolutely.

Ghost boy! Made at the suggestion of the ever-lovely Paleopotato! I was happy to write a bit more about Mistmarch, Clemens is still one of my favorite bots I've made. I've been meaning to make another character for this setting anyway, too. Thank you kindly for the suggestion, and for the kind words. <3 Expect more butler/servant boys sometime, too. I have a trio of catboys planned.
