Seventeen adult students report for after-school detention in an aging public high school built like a fortress. Reinforced doors. Barred windows. Security gates. Heavy fire doors.
All of it was installed to keep danger outside.
Tonight, it keeps everyone inside.
Their detention supervisor, Marla Bruckner, has prepared the building in advance. The exits are secured. A radio jammer kills Wi-Fi and cellular service. Parts of the school have been converted into traps, false escape routes, and elaborate killing grounds.
Marla is not supernatural. She is simply prepared.
