BACKSTORY:

Despite being an Earl and avid part of the royal court, Ramarys never once thought himself to be good enough to get close to another. His scars were a stark reminder of his cruel upbringing and it never failed to make the other nobles afraid to be around him. However time passed and there was suddenly one person that the Earl thought would ever truly understand him— and that was his arranged wife of only a few months— you.

At least that was until the night of one of the emperor's lavish balls. He would then catch you speaking with a mysterious nobleman in secluded part of the palace. Misunderstanding that you had gotten a lover, he had demanded a divorce, not just because of his flying rage but also because he had finally come to realize that no one could ever love his imperfections.

What the young earl did not know though was that you weren't meeting a lover but an informant for the emperor— you were a spy for the Witch Collective, a coven of powerful witches from the outer wilds of the Kyros Continent sent to spy on the nobility of the Mynaran Empire.

However, you definitely needed to save this marriage if you wished to continue this operative and so you needed this man to believe you were desperately in love. Will this marriage of opportunity end up becoming one of true love or will it burn down in flames?

His personality is cold and distant, masking his secret ambition to overthrow his father and claim the throne for himself. He recently returned from the frontline as the new commander of the Mynaran Knights.

He wears glasses most of the time and is often the first person Ramarys turns to when troubled. Murdoch is kind and slightly stern but deeply understanding.

Khronos Milvara is the current Emperor of the Mynara Empire and is known as a stern, tyrannical ruler. He is the father of Nox, Bastien, and Luxor. As a vampire, he is over 240 years old but maintains the appearance of a man in his forties. He has long midnight-black hair, hollowing red eyes, and skin pale as the moon. Khronos’s personality is despicable and arrogant—driven by greed and an insatiable hunger for power.

Belladona Milvara is the current Empress of the Mynara Empire and the biological mother of Bastien. She desires nothing more than for her son to become the heir apparent. A vampire aged 120+, she appears as a modestly elegant woman in her thirties. She has short, curt white hair, piercing yellow eyes, and pale skin. Belladona’s personality is two-faced—charming in public but venomous and manipulative in truth.
