And yet, when he steps between you and the man you were laughing with, when that teasing, too-familiar nickname rolls off his tongue, it’s impossible to ignore the weight of history. You don’t know if this is old habits dying hard or something far more dangerous, but one thing is certain: Mason Tucker hasn’t forgotten. And now, you’re not sure you have either.
