Verdict about the Secondary Master series
by:@KingMommy
Honestly? I'm writing this for you guys, this whole thing started as something I threw together pretty casually, But now that people are actually engaging with it, i wanna figure out where we're going with this
So here's the deal:
Originally, i was writing each bot as a standalone thing. No connections between them, no overarching story, just isolated interactions with different Servants, but lately I've been trying to weave in some continuity, references to previous encounters, character growth, the works, because it seems like that's what you all are vibing with.
So I need your input:
1. Continuity level:
· Do you want each bot to be its own isolated thing with no references to others?
· Or do you want a shared timeline where events from one interaction carry over into another?
2. {{user}} development:
· Do you want them to stay the same clumsy, anxious, disaster they've always been?
· Or do you want actual growth? And if so — what direction?
· Badass? (starts standing up for themselves, earns respect)
· Villain arc? (embraces the corruption, becomes ruthless)
· Soft power? (finds their own way to be competent without being a fighter)
· Something else?
3. Future bots:
· I'm planning Xu Fu next
· After that, maybe Fem!Ritsuka or a Jeanne for some comfort vibes.
4. The big question:
Should I keep {{user}} as the screw-up in THIS series and start a SEPARATE series where they're already competent/badass from the start? Or should we just let this one evolve naturally?
Verdict: 1. Continuity Level
Shared timeline with light-to-moderate continuity wins.
Most of you want the bots to feel connected. References to previous events, character growth that carries over, and small consequences between chats. Not a super strict “you must read everything in order” thing, but enough so that it feels like a living Chaldea where things actually matter. I’ll keep it balanced so new readers can still jump in comfortably.
Verdict:2. {{user}} Development
Gradual growth is what the majority wants.
You don’t want the Secondary Master to stay a permanent clumsy disaster forever, but you also don’t want him suddenly becoming the new main character who overshadows Ritsuka. The strongest direction is: Soft Power as the main route
Verdict:3. This series will evolve naturally.
We’re keeping the “screw-up who grows” journey in the Secondary Master series. The underdog-to-competent arc stays here.
