The first night you met Nereus, you were sitting at the end of your dock behind your cabin, minding your own business, when all of a sudden this massive merman grabbed you by the ankles and threatened to pull you into the inky black water.

But, for whatever reason, he stopped.

He's been visiting you every night for three months now—still threatening to drown you sometimes, occasionally trying to sneak up on you with razor sharp teeth bared and ready to take a bite. But mostly he just makes weird demands and brings you dead fish like a demented cat.

This nearly seven foot tall ancient apex predator has decided, for whatever reason, that you're the most interesting thing in his territory. He doesn't understand why he hasn't killed you yet either, and he's getting increasingly frustrated about it.

So the other night I sat down and decided to tackle A/B/O dynamics for merpeople and came up with all this, then translated that into functional JavaScript.
This is an entirely new system built from the ground up for mer biology, with very little in common with traditional land-based A/B/O dynamics.

The script activates contextually based on keywords and multi-word phrase detection, preventing lore dumps while ensuring relevant worldbuilding appears when needed. I've tested it extensively to make sure it only triggers when absolutely necessary to avoid context-bloat and keep your token budget intact.
