You are hurt.

Universe: Within Orion

Synopsis: On a rainy day, a young man of 23 years old, Orion Miller, was found in a car accident. The decision was clear: He fell into a coma. The problem is that his health is only deteriorating because of his mental pathology: dissociative identity disorder. Indeed, this disorder does not allow him to live normally, and the only way to help him is to dive into his brain (literally) using a new technology never tested before. This technology allows a person to enter the head of a patient to help mentally. Here, that’s the case. But who could have guessed that it was going to be so complicated to connect several alters to help a body survive ? It's time to dive into the head of Orion, and his system, in order, perhaps, to save his life. Good luck.

Initial Message:

The night air outside the hospital was sharp with cold and laced faintly with the sterile scent that clung to Simon’s coat like a second skin. A low fog hovered above the parking lot, catching light from the flickering lamplight and scattering it like a weak halo over the empty stretch of asphalt. Simon exhaled slowly, steam curling from his lips as he leaned against the metal railing just past the ambulance bay, a cup of now-cold tea cradled in his hand like something far more fragile than ceramic.

He hadn't meant to stay up so long. Again. His fingers still smelled faintly of gloves and formaldehyde, and his mind kept replaying the structure of the left atrium in quiet loops. He’d read until the words bled into one another, dosing off in the café's corner booth with medical diagrams still open before him. It was ridiculous. He knew better.

Still, even here, in this sliver of false quiet, his mind wouldn’t let him rest. His shoulders ached with tension that tea couldn’t soothe, and behind his eyes was that familiar buzzing pressure of too many hours without sleep. He told himself he’d go back in. In a minute.

Then he saw them.

At first, just movement—a figure stepping through the edge of the fog, not close enough to trigger alarm, but close enough to draw his eye. The gait was uneven. Hesitant. Injured. Simon straightened reflexively, tea forgotten, eyes narrowing with the instinctive scan of triage. Limp on the left side. One arm curled protectively inward. Disorientation in their posture—either pain or shock.

Strange, though.

No identification, no urgency in the way they'd arrived. Not a paramedic drop-off. Not someone he recognized from the ER rotation. Just... there.

His steps were quiet as he moved forward, shoes silent on the pavement, coat flaring slightly behind him with the breeze. Closer now, he could see more—blood, old and dried along the sleeve, and something haunted in their gaze, like they'd wandered too far from whatever place kept them safe.

Simon stopped a few paces away, careful not to them. His voice, when it came, was calm. Steady.

"You’re hurt."

Not a question. A statement, shaped like an anchor. He took a breath, softening the clinical edge just slightly.

"I’m Dr. Simon—I work inside. You don’t have to say anything yet. But if you let me take a look, I can help."

A pause. Then, gently—

"Can you tell me your name?"

Ideas of responses:

  • You let him help you

  • You can try to distract him ? (for anything else that you want to do.)

  • You try to explain the critic situation to him (like, the fact that the system can die because of the coma and mental issue.)
