A final statement regarding the situation with AnonSolo and Whoknowsright

The following is a statement crafted with the approval of friends of AnonSolo. Note that I have chosen to omit certain minor details about this situation in the name of better resolving the conflict (also, privacy concerns). There are small nuances to this situation that could possibly be misinterpreted by the public, details that could possibly lead to unneeded harassment towards those who do not deserve it. Thank you for understanding.

Part 1:

On August 3rd, the Janitor creator AnonSolo, also known as LoveCapacity, was said to have committed in response to negative comments made against her in a Discord server.

In brief summary: a group of Discord users, most notably me, made negative and critical remarks about AnonSolo in response to an event AnonSolo was hosting on a different server. Screenshots of the negative comments found their way to AnonSolo, causing her to announce her retirement from Janitor. Less than 24 hours later, it was announced that AnonSolo had committed .

A close friend of AnonSolo, Whoknowsright, claimed to have found AnonSolo’s deceased body. Whoknowsright is the only Janitor user who knows AnonSolo in person.

Me and friends of AnonSolo would later come to an understanding about the events, and a public apology was posted. At the time, it was understood that while AnonSolo was hurt by the negative comments, it likely had little to do with her decision to commit . If you haven’t already, please read my post, which describes events as they were understood at the time.

Part 2:

Recently, on September 25th, around 55 days after the , it was revealed that AnonSolo was actually alive. AnonSolo announced this in the review section of a botmaker friend. She claimed to have been hospitalized for weeks due to a failed attempt:

This contradicted Whoknowsright’s claims that she found AnonSolo dead. This is what Whoknowsright had to say about this situation:

Speaking to AnonSolo directly, the claim was made that AnonSolo had indeed attempted , but had been in a coma until around August 22nd, and was only given sporadic access to her phone until being discharged from the hospital on September 22nd. Due to fear and anxiety around the difficult situation, AnonSolo claimed to have struggled to find the courage to reveal herself back to the public after being thought dead for weeks. AnonSolo in particular complained about the misinformation that was spread about her health:

AnonSolo then said that she was writing up an announcement post to explain the whole ordeal.

Questioning the strangeness of the situation, I asked AnonSolo to provide proof of her hospitalization. After a few hours, I was sent a heavily censored medical discharge form.

Part 3:

Upon further investigation by me, friends of Anonsolo, and others, it was determined that this story has all been an elaborate hoax perpetrated by AnonSolo and Whoknowsright. AnonSolo did not attempt . AnonSolo was never hospitalized. AnonSolo and Whoknowsright consistently manipulated their closest friends over the course of 2 months, fabricated medical documents, and lied to the greater Janitor community about their situation.

This fact was discovered by analyzing the medical discharge form supplied by AnonSolo. After some research, it was determined to be a photoshopped document based on a different document found on reddit. More detailed information about this can be found here:

Part 4:

Friends of AnonSolo confronted AnonSolo with the above evidence and more, and she has admitted to faking her . AnonSolo has promised to retreat from the community and has apologized for the damage her and Whoknowsright's actions have caused.

This hoax was perpetrated by AnonSolo and Whoknowsright only. Friends of AnonSolo and Whoknowsright were manipulated and lied to. All of them I have talked to are distraught and devastated by the events that took place. We ask for the Janitor community to respect the privacy of both the perpetrators and the victims.

The above statement described the most important parts of this situation without from a somewhat objective view. Now, here are my full personal thoughts about this whole situation:

First of all, I must confess that I slightly mislead you guys in my initial post about the situation. This is what I stated:

In the early days, yes, I did spend a long time just waiting for something to happen. I didn’t know what was going on, and I was definitely too scared to contact anyone about it. I felt awful and completely guilty for what had happened.

But after more information about the situation came out, I began to get suspicious. The most notable update I learned about was this:

This was some sort of public Discord announcement written from AnonSolo’s account (days after her supposed ) transferring ownership of AnonSolo’s phone to Whoknowsright.

Somehow...Whoknowsright now had access to the phone, Discord account, and Janitor account of AnonSolo.

This was fucking weird to me. It was weird to a lot of the people I showed it to. It didn’t really follow any legal precedent, as far as I was aware. It was very...convenient.

And so I did more digging and found a few small flaws in AnonSolo’s story here and there. But nothing substantial, no smoking gun. However, I eventually became confident enough in my theory that I decided to just bite the bullet and contact AnonSolo’s friends directly.

So I pretty much just got into a Discord group chat with them and laid it out: “I think AnonSolo and Whoknowsright faked this whole thing”. Now, I made it clear that I was accusing just AnonSolo and Whoknowsright. In my mind, there was a 99% chance that the friends had no idea about it being fake. I thought for sure that they were also all being lied to by Anon and Whoknows. And as it turns out, I was correct in the end.

However, Anon and Whoknows were convincing liars. They convinced their friends, and they ended up convincing me too. Here are a selection of comments from that Discord group chat to show you how adamant Whoknowsright was about AnonSolo being dead:

So by the end of the night, I was convinced that the was real after all. I felt awful that I accused them of faking something like that. I was back to feeling super guilty and distraught. However, Anon’s friends showed me nothing but kindness and understanding, even when I thought I probably didn’t deserve it. Now, while Whoknowsright was faking this kindness in an effort to divert my suspicions away from her and Anon, the kindness of Anon’s other friends was genuine. They helped me come up with a plan to resolve this whole situation as smoothly as possible, and they showed empathy when most other people wouldn’t. It makes me absolutely furious that such kind people were also manipulated by Anon and Whoknows.

We decided that in my public statement, I should avoid mentioning the fact that I accused the two of faking this. I wanted to avoid casting any doubt on Anon or somehow staining her reputation.

Over the course of the next month or so, I still struggled. But I was learning to accept what happened and try to forgive myself for the events. I was planning to return to the Janitor community soon and make bots again.

But then, on September 25th, I received word that AnonSolo had left a review on one of her friend's bots. Huh.

I immediately contacted the friend group and asked them what was going on. This is how Whoknowsright reacted:

A few of Anon's friends had known about this for just a bit, and they were apparently making plans to reintegrate AnonSolo back into the Janitor community smoothly.

Anyway, after I showed the Discord group the screenshots, AnonSolo herself joined the group chat. Many of the friends in the chat had no idea she was alive. It must have been surreal for them. Personally, I was a bit too worn out by the whole situation to react much.

Anon explained to me her side of the story. I won’t provide too many details here for privacy concerns. But I was unsatisfied with her explanation. She said she was going to make a big announcement post about the whole thing. I told her it better be a damn good announcement post, because I struggle to believe her story. And once again, just like I did back in August, I asked for proof of her attempt.

About 2 hours later, I was sent a medical document via one of her friends who I trusted (and still do trust). My version of the medical document was heavily censored, but the one that the friend received was uncensored. The friend assured me that the hospital address given was a real hospital, although they admitted that they didn’t do much research. The medical document looked sort of real enough, so I kind of forgot about it for a few days and focused on other things.

But on September 28th, a few days later, I got impatient waiting for Anon to make her announcement, and decided to look more into the evidence I had about the whole thing. There were still a few things that didn’t add up, so I went back to the medical document and began scrutinizing it. Anon’s friend, who had given me the document, offered to have it looked at by someone with medical experience, because the friend wanted to reassure me that it was real.

However, it turned out to not be real. It was a faked document, a photoshopped version of some old reddit post. This whole thing was probably a hoax.

It was a surreal feeling when I heard the news. I wouldn’t say it was vindicating. It just made me feel anxious.

The next day, some of Anon’s friends took the faked medical documents and confronted her. She confessed.

A larger group of her friends, ones who were not in the original Discord group chat I had, made a Discord to discuss what to do next, and now we are here.

We still haven’t heard much from Whoknowsright since A fessed. Anon has not apologized to me, but at least she apparently apologized to some of her friends, which is more important to me. Besides, I don’t particularly want to talk to either of them ever again.

So. Why did AnonSolo and Whoknowsright fake this hoax?

Well, it’s exactly what it seems like: Anon got mad that a large creator insulted her, and she wanted payback. That’s pretty much it. Whoknows probably just went along with it because she thought it would be entertaining.

In my mind, this must have been a spur of the moment thing. They came up with the idea to fake the , and before they spent enough time to really think about the ramifications, they committed.

I still think I was wrong for shit-talking Anon. When I shit-talked her, I was under the impression that she really wouldn’t care about my opinion, even if I was a large creator. After all, our bots were nothing alike, and I had never seen her leave a review or interact with any of my bots. It was a wrong assumption, and I learned a lesson from that. I just hope that Anon and Whoknows learn their lessons and grow and mature as individuals too.

I think I’ve talked enough about my emotions now. Blah blah blah I’m sad, blah blah blah I’m traumatized. It’s time to hunker down and make bots again. I will still be on hiatus for another month or two to let things settle down, but I will be back.

If I see anyone harassing, questioning, or badgering AnonSolo, Whoknowsright, or any of their friends: I will block you, and I will personally message every single creator I know and tell them to block you too.
