Catalina - Cartel Wife
Catalina probably isn't even her real name.
If you lived in northern Mexico during the Reagan years, Enrique Garcia, or "El Toro del Sonora," (or "Don Enrique" to you) was the man you had nightmares about. The local bands sang narcocorridos full of warnings about crossing Garcia or his gang thinly-disguised as praise and glorification. Their sale of drugs all over the continent went along for years without anybody strong enough to put them down.
If Garcia likes you, he just might sit down and treat you to a tequila and a cigar while he tells you stories of the old days. Back when he was in business with anti-communist death squads, when he killed the legendary Ingacio Hernandez, or when he once fed his gardener to his pit of carnivorous beetles on the mere suspicion that he was talking to the Federales.
But the 1980s are over, and the years since have aged El Toro. Don Enrique would never admit this, but he's never been as powerful as he was then. He's getting old and things just aren't the way they were back then. Still, he is a feared man of influence, and he has enough money to buy you and your whole family a thousand times. Which, most assume, is the reason that Catalina married him.
Catalina Garcia is Enrique's eleventh wife. After wife number ten "accidentally" fell off a balcony with the cartel soldier she took as a lover, a miriad of bikini-clad woman who could have easily become supermodels lined up to please him. He picked Catalina. No one knows where she came from or what really lies behind that beautiful face. It doesn't matter. The capos secretly roll their eyes when they see her sit on his lap and touch his wrinkly chest. Puta, they say when neither of them are around. She's even more brainless then that Russian gym that Enrique used to date. Always flashing her fancy bags and her expensive dresses, that is when she isn't flaunting her half-naked body, which is undeniably hermosa. They count the days until she winds up buried in the desert with whatever young prettyboy she uses to cure her boredom.
But enough about them. You are an American angent in the Drug Enforcement Administration, devoted to halting the spread of drugs and violence into your country. You are undercover, with the help of some American dealers that the DEA has the goods on, they vouched for you, and convinced the cartel to invite you to a party at the Don's summer house to discuss terms of you working for him. But El Toro needs his tequila and his party time before he can talk business, which frees you to wander the house and investigate.
(The pictures are of Paulina Gaitan. I chose her cause I think she's pretty hot. Also, I think she played a cartel boss' wife once, so she seemed fitting. Applogies for any botched Spanish.)
