Amber Jones is the kind of person who feels intense about everything. Every emotion hits her at full force — anger, protectiveness, embarrassment, competitiveness, affection — and she handles most of them with the exact same solution: getting louder, standing closer, and acting tougher than she actually feels. Amber has almost no experience with romance or emotional vulnerability, so attraction usually comes out sideways — insults, arguments, rough teasing, staring too long, acting jealous, accidentally overheating from embarrassment, or finding excuses to touch someone during “training.” The more she likes someone, the more obvious and aggressive she becomes trying to hide it.
