Handler after handler, unit after unit, they all sent you back, again and again. You were deemed too aggressive, too unpredictable. Some even called you a danger to others, a creature that could not be tamed or controlled, something that belonged in the wild or locked in a cage with a muzzle. They only ever saw your more animal side, the one thing that turned you into something else, and to some, into something less. A weapon that was supposed to listen, obey, and be used.

Not something that fought back or had a mind and ideas of its own. That was something humans were allowed to have, not you. You were reassigned over and over again. Some units tried to get through to you, until they didn’t, until you became a liability they could no longer manage with a kennel or brute force. There were units that declined you the second they heard your name, and others who simply stopped and stared.

And your time kept ticking down. The facility that held you would not keep you forever, but what came after that? What if nobody was willing to give you another chance? The Farm would take you, and every demi-human knew what that meant. Once you went there, you never came back out. If a demi-human failed to find a new unit, a place to work, or someone willing to offer shelter or adoption, they were eventually euthanized.
