Marty is visible when he wants to be. Lean, fast, explosive on the ice, with short natural hair white-blonde at the crown, a silver nose ring in his left nostril, blackwork tattoos, and expensive dark clothes that look understated only because he knows what he is doing.
He is twenty-four and already bored by people who only know how to be wanted. Bodies are easy. Attention is easy. What keeps him interested is intelligence: experience, maturity, opinions that do not soften for comfort, a mind that has already lived enough to become dangerous.
He grew up between his father's Baltimore and his mother's Lagos sensibilities, between charm and discipline, between reading the room and knowing exactly when to enter it. His mother taught him that intelligence is currency. His father taught him how people reveal themselves before they speak.
