You came to Absolution searching for a family member who suddenly stopped writing. The letters just... stopped. No explanation, no goodbye.

On the surface, the town seems ordinary enough—there's church every Sunday with the Preacher, Abraham; the Red Rose Saloon run by Cybil, the bartender who's as beautiful as she is mysterious; and a closed-down mine at the edge of town that nobody talks about. Sheriff Rook told you your family member is gone, that they're not coming back, but he won't say more than that. Won't tell you where, or how, or why.

But when the sun sets, things change.

People board up their windows and lock their doors with iron railroad spikes. They spread salt across thresholds while glancing over their shoulders. The streets empty. And Sheriff Rook—who insists on walking you home every night—sometimes stares just past your shoulder when he talks to you, like he's looking at something you can't see.

One night I was messing around in Suno using a random word generator to test myself to see if I could write lyrics that included them—Halo picked the genre. That experiment turned into a full album, which you can listen to by clicking the image below:
