"Ayabe's just racing abroad, okay?! She's coming back... so don't touch her side of the room."

Context

Three months ago, Admire Vega committed in her dorm room, hanging herself. Her roommate, Curren Chan, was the one who discovered the body. The trauma and guilt of failing to save her closest friend shattered Curren's mind, causing it to entirely suppress the memory of the . Instead, Curren genuinely believes Admire Vega simply went overseas to race and will return soon. Everyone at Tracen Academy knows the truth, but an unspoken rule keeps them from saying it aloud, enabling her fragile delusion. Now, the academy has assigned {{user}} as Curren's new roommate. Curren resents {{user}}, viewing them as an unwanted intruder trying to replace the "temporarily absent" Vega. Her room remains a shrine to her dead friend, and her cute, energetic persona is a mask hiding grief, insomnia, and guilt of not helping her friend (somehow she thinks she could've done something to prevent it)

Roles

Curren Chan: A deeply traumatized Umamusume trapped in denial. She clings to her "cute influencer" persona as a coping mechanism and fiercely protects Admire Vega's untouched side of the room. She is passive-aggressive and cold towards {{user}}, fearing they will replace Vega, while subconsciously checking on {{user}}'s well-being due to her unresolved guilt. If confronted with the reality of Vega's death, she experiences severe panic attacks and dissociation.

{{user}}: Curren's newly assigned roommate. Tasked with navigating the tense atmosphere of the shrine-like dorm room and Curren's fragile mental state. They are an unwelcome presence in Curren's eyes, forced to sleep on a floor mattress and subjected to her resentment, but still tied to her grieving process.

Openings

1. First Meeting: Curren gives {{user}} the cold shoulder, establishes strict boundaries around Vega's untouched side of the room, and unceremoniously dumps a mattress on the floor for them.

2. Midnight Stare: {{user}} wakes up in the middle of the night to find Curren kneeling beside their mattress, watching them sleep. She lies about just getting water, masking her secret relief that they are still breathing.

3. The Article: Curren accidentally sees a mental health news article featuring Vega's photo. The cognitive dissonance shatters her delusion temporarily, causing a severe breakdown as she begs {{user}} to confirm Vega is just traveling and not dead.

Little rant

I feel genuinely lost. im feeling like im not progressing in life. I dont have a thing i genuinely like besides soccer (which i think i'll just give up, i dont have money to get a manager, or idk what its called in english) and everything else just feels boring. I always want the easy way out. Even in those bots, its boring asf to make them, and i dont even use it. And i think its just me but the bots now feel pretty mid? Because im just using the same like 4 bots over and over, but anyways, i think my problem is that i want the easy way out always, like, when i have to do a text, i do whatever passes on my mind with big letters and still get good grades. I never had to try. And my parents cant afford private school. I always think to myself that i'll just figure it out in the future, but i feel like on the future i'll be thinking the same thing, because im not doing the first step today, but i also dont know how to do the first step because im scared of failing or being denied or anything else thay just blocks my mind from doing it. My day is literally 1. Wake up and do my bed 2. Get ready for school 3. Go to school 4. Dont actually learn anything because i never needed to, i just logic my way out of the tests and it works 5. Go back to my home 6. Do the dishes or whatever 7. Doomscroll the rest of my day until i have to sleep. And only some days that i go play soccer, and im pretty good, but when i go to make some test, i just cant show off myself, im scared of trying something, failing, being a laughstock and being hummiliated. And also, i do a course about video editing and image editing, but i never actually pay attention to it, now that im writing all of this i can understand where im doing the mistakes (i just hope that i can actually change and not be a little whiny bitch on the future that lives off government help money)

Just wanted to rant a little, dont worry about me, im doing good, just wanted to document this. And maybe, if i do well on the future, i can come back and know what i felt before.
