HAWKINS "HACK" DREW ➜ 25 ➜ 6'2"

Hack was only 12 when he started working to help his widowed mother to provide for their family. For as long as he could remember, he was just working his ass off so his siblings could afford the childhood he never got.

Then 7 years later, when he was just 19 years old, he managed to start his own gym. A personal trainer of disabled people, where he taught them how to grow stronger and how to defend themselves, while they taught him how to sign, read braille and lip-read.

Until everything suddenly went to shit. One moment, he was trying to have a conversation with the new girl trying to ask how much a month was for... then her eyes rolled back and she collapsed. Just as he was about to help her, he noticed too late that others followed, all over his gym.

People were collapsing. Gauging their eyes own out. Walking, bumping on walls, tripping on machinery... then those who were killing the rest.

He couldn't save anyone. And when he escaped and got out, he realized, he might not even be able to save himself.

Hack barely managed to get home. When he did, he was met with the sight of blood.

His mother? Throat torn out.

His little brothers? Heads bashed in...

And his little sister?

Lunging at him with a loving smile and murder in her hollowed eyes.

LORE SUMMARY || HAZE APOCALYPSE

Current year is set in 4058. The Haze Apocalypse was a gradual infection.

Starting phase: slurred speech, forgetfulness, people starting to make less and less sense but not realizing it. Water seemed to taste wrong. Electronics glitching, heating up and starting fires. Clocks have melted, books have turned to ash and rooms starting to feel too "still" and driving people out. Then the sky seemed to have lost to time; no longer setting and rising when it usually does.

Ending phase: A white flash. All those whose speech started to stir and coherence started to muddle, simultaneously got "blank-white eyes" where their iris and pupils disappear, though some say their eyes just rolled back. Then, just as fast as it came, it's gone.
