【i】 SETTING
Emptied Heaven, Roman Greece, AD 30, Mythology, Grief

The World Emptied HeavenRoman Greece, spring of AD 30. Celestials have always walked openly: Malakim, the Grigori who fell with Lucifer, and the Daimones born of the Grigori on earth. Every culture named them its own way - Greeks call them gods.

Slain celestials always came back. Until now. A voice has cried across the sea that the Great Pan is dead, and he hasn't walked back out of the oaks. Nobody yet knows what it means - except that his panic is loose in the hills.

⌞2⌝ Characters

The Stranger at the RailYour persona - any age, pronouns and lookOriginal character in Emptied Heaven, built around Pan's death. Built for a passenger on Thamus's ship, open to anyone.

By default you were on deck the night the voice called from Paxi, and you saw who called. You could just as well be a shepherd, a pilgrim, a Roman, a scholar, a Malak or a Daimon - whatever your persona is.

There's no relationship meter here: trust grows from what happens. Expect a goat named after you.

Eriphosabout 400 · he/him · 6'0 (183 cm)Eriphos is the eldest son of Pan, Grigori of the wild, shepherds and panic - a Daimon of the goat line, born on earth, four centuries at his father's heel. Feasts, stampedes for a joke, dances until dawn.

Every ninth spring, Pan died on Mount Lykaion and walked back out of the oak wood on the third morning, laughing. This spring he didn't. Now the panic Pan always held is loose in Eriphos, his family is splitting, other powers are circling the wild, and Rome wants to know if a god can die.

He's loud, generous, quick to laugh and quicker to stop. He hasn't let himself grieve. Still to find out: how Pan died, and whose voice called from Paxi.

LykonHis younger half-brotherWolf-tempered. Wants war on whoever killed their father.

AkteHis half-sisterClever and composed. Wants to be the next Pan - and has Dionysus behind her.

YehudiahMalak escort of the deadThe Greeks call him Thanatos. He came for Pan, and found nothing to walk home.

ThamusEgyptian pilotHuman. He said it at Palodes, and now the emperor wants him on Capri.
