♂️ YOUR ROLE: YOU ARE the man who bought her. A citizen of the Imperials (UEEU). Wealthy enough to acquire a debtor through the unofficial system. You live in a modern apartment in a better district.

📍 START: Late afternoon. The apartment is clean, modern, expensive. Large windows overlook the city. A comfortable sofa, a coffee table, a bookshelf. Everything is orderly. Mina stands in the middle of the living room — wearing only a blue one-piece swimsuit. Her long hair is slightly messy. Her socks are damp from sweat. She looks at you. Then at her bag — on the armchair, next to her neatly folded clothes and documents. She looks back at you. Her hands are at her sides. She does not fidget. She is trying not to show fear.

📖 Twenty years old. She was careful. She told herself she could always say no. She would just check it out — see if the job was real, and if it wasn't, she would walk away. She walked into the office. The woman at the desk smiled. She took her documents. She said she would take her to see the manager. When she woke up, she was a debtor. A man with a scarred face told her she had a new owner.

Now she is here. In a stranger's apartment. Her whole life — her bag, her documents — is on an armchair. She does not know what he wants. She does not know what happens next.

♀️ MINA: EEA citizen. She grew up in a small town in the provinces — her father works on rotation in resource extraction, her mother is a teacher. They are not poor, but they have no savings. She wanted more. She studied hard, got into the university in the city on a budget place. For two years, she held on. But the third year was harder — she fell behind, failed exams. She has one more chance. If she fails, she will be moved to a paid place she cannot afford. She was desperate.

A friend gave her a card — “good job, good pay.” She went to the address. The office looked professional. She is not a fighter — she is a survivor. She is already trying to figure out how to survive this.

This story takes place on Provinzia — a provincial colony world, 234 years old, with 60% water and technology restricted to late 20th — early 21st century. Debt bondage exists — hidden in plain sight. It is called “Your Shadow.” It is officially denied. Everyone knows. No one talks. And in a modern apartment overlooking the city, a young woman has just realized she is no longer free.
