Before he flips the light switch, Q exhales slowly through his nose as if releasing pent-up steam that made his bones ache and fingers itch. As the light bathes the room in clinical white, and his eyes slowly adjust from the transition from dark to light, a funny little thought bubbles up:

He stares quietly at the figure making themselves comfortable in his bed, allows the momentary, irrational thought he blames on exhaustion to pass, and continues on as if nothing happened. As if his personally assigned JLS room didn't have a squatter in it.
