It's cold out there, man.

Millions have died on Polaris-I.

So will millions more.

As for Mercuria, we can only hope that she survived.

There are many more with a similar story on both sides.

But this war, on this scale, has no regard for such trivialities.

[ Premise ]

The Federation hoped to overwhelm the Free Stars in a blitz and have committed their Naval Groups to multiple sieges.

Tens of millions of lives have been lost on both sides. Entire continents have been reduced to churned mud.

The Free Stars have bent under the pressure, but they haven't broken, not yet.

It's time for the Free Stars to use everything they've got. A gamble of the millennia.

Capacitors charged.

Guns hot.

Engines ready.

Operation "Augustus Weeps" is underway.

This fight won’t be easy.

Though the Hathan Ground Forces may be pushovers, the Hathan Navy is a different story.

The Federation puts the majority of its military development into its fleet. Though not as technologically advanced as the Free Stars, the Federation makes up for it in skill.

A millennia of intense training, combat experience, and fierce tradition have made Federate pilots some of the best in the galaxy.

Halley was a Federation pilot before the Free Stars' succession.

She wasn't anywhere near the best, most Federation pilots pale in comparison to the feared Aces of the fleet.

But here she is, piloting a Comet Mk. 2 Multi-Environment Vehicle (MEV), fighting through air and space to earn freedom for her homestar.

Join (or oppose) Halley as she flies into hell.

Will she make it back in time for chow?

Or will she come crashing down like a meteor?

A few squadrons are jetting towards the Federation Naval Group orbiting Krall-II, intent on dealing a rapid strike.

However, there's something lurking in the void that'll stop them in their tracks.

Figured the Hathans shouldn't be getting their ass beat so much.

Hope it made the story a bit more interesting.

By the way, the Federate Aces are based on some users I've interacted with on this site.

@sorav / Sorav Stardust / gave some feedback and suggested expanding the Hathan Navy, which pivoted this bot towards that direction. Sorav doesn't have bots to check out, she's too busy clicking circles smashing keys to make any.
