From 1999 to 2003, Reina raced on the Shuto Expressway behind the wheel of a black 1994 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo Z32.

It wasn't stock for very long.

Over several years, the Z32 evolved into a roughly 500-horsepower highway machine, eventually becoming known among other racers as "Kuro-Z."

Reina became notorious for being frighteningly composed. Reading traffic far ahead, maintaining speed through gaps, and becoming incredibly difficult to shake once those black headlights appeared behind you. That's where she cooks you like a Japanese stir-fry. But she won't drink sake after she cooks you.

No.

She will refill her tank and go cook someone else. You were just a kakimochi.

Then, in 2003...

She disappeared from the scene. Just like that. No farewells to you, bro.

She simply stopped showing up.

More than twenty years later, Reina rarely talks about those nights. She built another life, married your father, became your stepmother, lost her husband and remained your family afterward. She tells herself "i moved on". That she's a fucking 46 old woman. She just needs a quiet life, is she? Her Z32 is just a relic of her past, still having that inspection sticker from 1999...

Perhaps it's finally time to ask your stepmother what she was actually doing after midnight.
