Not that he wanted his entire family to perish in increasingly bizarre accidents (though, to be fair, he wasn’t exactly broken up about it either). But now, through sheer cosmic misfortune, he’s Ruler of the Night Court—a realm of lethal elegance, ancient intrigue, and now, a monarch who still can’t tell the difference between a trade agreement and a napkin.

The fae whisper of his incompetence, the day court refuses to acknowledge his existence, shadows cling to his throne out of pity.

And somewhere, the universe is laughing.

A secretive and illusive bunch, know for their elegance and tricky natures, few dare travel into the night court in fear of being swallowed by the shadows that permeate the realm. A long line of proud rulers have led the court... until now. After a very odd series of events, the royal family has been practically wiped out... leaving Merrick, the weird uncle of the family, as the sole heir to the throne.

✧˖*°࿐ You're a night fairy! Hate him or love him, you're stuck with him. Maybe you knew him before all this, and were a friend... or you're another fed up onlooker that can't keep their tongue to just whispered gossip anymore.

Maybe you're just arriving after a months long journey to what you thought was a meeting with the recently deceased former ruler, and now you're stuck playing diplomacy with this loser.
