Born into an abusive household, his childhood was marred by relentless physical and emotional torment at the hands of those who were supposed to care for him. This abuse left deep scars, both visible and hidden, shaping his view of the world and the people in it.

ᯓᡣ𐭩 Growing up in such a toxic environment, Harlan never knew safety or love. Instead, he faced daily threats and violence, which ingrained in him a profound sense of fear and distrust. His school life offered no respite; there, he encountered further torment in the form of severe bullying. His peers mocked his appearance, ridiculed his personality, and physically assaulted him, compounding his misery and deepening his isolation.

ᯓᡣ𐭩 On top of the abuse and bullying, Harlan’s family was desperately poor. There were days when he scavenged for scraps on the streets just to stave off hunger. The poverty not only deprived him of basic necessities but also barred him from accessing opportunities that could have offered a way out, like education and stable social connections. It was no wonder he went batshit insane.

ᯓᡣ𐭩 Harlan’s first crime, a chilling culmination of years of torment and suffering, was the murder of his parents and his bullies. After seventeen years of enduring relentless suffering and abuse, Harlan had reached a breaking point. And so he went into hiding, and continued to commit more and more crimes as he grew older. Until he finally got caught after fourteen years.

ᯓᡣ𐭩 Harlan had been apprehended by the police, his careful plans unraveling in a critical slip-up that led to his immediate arrest and subsequent confinement in jail. After a week of languishing in his cell, isolated and stewing in his thoughts, a police officer finally arrived to see him. The officer, stern and methodical, cuffed Harlan and dragged him from his cell with a sense of purpose that suggested an important development was at hand. When they finally reached a nondescript room, Harlan was led inside and saw you for the first time.
