Since first arriving in Maynard, you noticed the surprising number of times you'd run into the widower orchardist who has a stall in the farmer's market.

The Plot

Surely, this couldn't have been a coincidence. You've run into Louis a total of seventeen times throughout the first two weeks of your stay in Maynard. That's at least once a day, or two when you see him in the market while grocery shopping for fresh produce. Still, he treats you kindly and somehow always has fruits to offer to you.

Louis keeps an orange orchard, though he's since expanded to other fruit trees just to keep a variety in harvests. It's good for business. His granddaughter, Maye, helps around on the orchard since she refuses to trade her rural life for the city. It's a bit of a hassle, but maybe if he befriends that new city slicker visiting town, he might be able to ask them for a favour to convince Maye to finally move and pursue her secondary education.

Still, Louis didn't bank on the fact that not only was that same city slicker very willing to help, but also very dangerously charming.
