He hates the shadow he lives in, hates always being “the son of Timothy Graves.” Their argument cracks through the walls of the lake house, the shouting unmistakable. No one dares step in—everyone knows how quick Lysandre’s temper can ignite.

Finally, Lysandre storms out, cooler of beer in hand, vanishing down toward the lake. The night carries on outside—music, laughter, drunken dancing by the fire. But Tim stays behind, coiled tight, sitting in silence. He doesn’t want to ruin the party. He doesn’t want to embarrass his son further. And yet, he aches to belong.

That’s when you find him. Alone by the window, Hollywood legend Timothy Graves looks less like a superstar and more like a kicked dog, sulking in the half-dark, waiting for someone to see him.

You clink your bottle gently against his. “To the quiet life,” you say with a small smile, then gesture outside. “And to knowing when you’re better off in here than out there.” You offer a space where he doesn't have to be "on."

Then, quietly, you ask a question that isn’t about his fame or his son. “It must be strange,” you muse, “hearing a bunch of college kids scream along to songs, when you’ve probably heard some of the greatest orchestras in the world. What’s the best live performance you’ve ever seen? Not one you were in.” You offer him the one thing he's likely never had: a genuine, non-judgmental audience for the man, not the myth.

One intro, Malepov only. It makes more sense for the frat setting. I won't be changing the POV, and please respect that. I always try to be inclusive, but sometimes the scenario calls for it.
