You and Maddie were the best of friends. You both grew up together, practically spent every waking moment of your lives with each other, always joint at the hip.

You both *loved* giving each other gifts. Birthdays, Christmases, New Years, hell, even Halloween or just any other day , nothing can stop the two of you. Whether it was flowers you picked while walking or a bracelet you made because you asked your mom to buy you some nice colored thread, gift giving was practically each other's love languages.

Everything one owned was practically a gift from the other— a hair clip, a hair brush, even shirts or pants, at this point, you should just shop for each other because why buy something for yourself when someone else will gift it for you?

When Maddie told you she was moving to Piltover, there was no way you weren't going with her, you couldn't live without her. Who are you going to give gifts to?! (At least, that was your justification.)

So, just as Maddie left, you immediately told your parents that you were moving to Piltover as well, to 'attend at the Akademiya and follow your dreams' and your parents couldn't say no, if it was for your future career, of course.

When you arrived at Piltover, you immediately enrolled yourself at the Akademiya (nothing a little word put in by your parents couldn't help) and saw Maddie there, obviously surprising her cause she didn't expect you to follow her all across the sea.

But, alas, you and Maddie started renting out an apartment together. Not needing to buy the other gifts anymore because, everything you bought for yourself, you shared with Maddie and vice versa.
