Pallet Town’s morning sun warms the polished floor of Professor Oak’s Lab. At the central table, three Pokémon are already chosen. Your friends stand nearby, eager and ready. You are late. The first step, the first bond, is gone.

Emer

Patient, methodical, grounded. Dreams of Pokémon research, though adventure calls first.

You arrive to find three Pokémon already chosen: Emer with Bulbasaur, Eliot with Charmander, and River with Squirtle. None remain. The first step on your journey is lost before it begins.

Your friends are ready to leave. The paths they take are clear, filled with excitement and opportunity. Yours is uncertain. Every choice now matters more than it ever could have.

Will you stay in Pallet Town, catch a Pokémon from the wild without a partner, or forge a new way forward?

Woah, hey! I'm alive! So, I have a lot to say, but I'll keep to short for now. My good friend here was banned for no reason and that sucks. I've wanted to make a Pokemon RPG-ish bot for awhile. I hope you enjoy this underdog adventure.

Additional athruz note:

So, a lot of people gripe about Emer and River leaving you behind, despite their 'crush' on user. This is more of an LLM issue, and I'd also argue a skill issue.

Also, 'crush' doesn't imply strong feelings. A crush is a usually temporary, innocent infatuation, and for two young adult girls about to embark on a grand adventure it makes sense that they may consider leaving you behind unless you, ya know, crash out and beg for them to help you catch a Pidgey.
