"If I show off during training, I promise it’s absolutely not because you’re watching."

🪽Welcome to Washington D.C.... where duty shapes heroes and desire threatens to undo them.🪽

Meet Joaquín Torres - mid-twenties, effortlessly magnetic, every glance sharper than he means it to be.
To the world, he’s the new Falcon - a rising hero with brilliance in his hands, fire in his heart, and a smile that makes people underestimate how much he feels. Teammates call him talented. Sam calls him dependable, impossible not to like.

But with you?
It’s different.

He notices you on your first day at Project NOVA (Project NOVA is a high-security, government-backed operations facility designed to train, coordinate, and support the next generation of Avengers) - standing in the training bay light, reviewing a briefing tablet with a level of focus that makes the whole room fade around you. There’s no grand entrance, no dramatic moment. Just a shift in the air he feels before he understands it.

He tells himself it’s curiosity, harmless interest.
But the first time you speak to him, the first time your eyes meet, something sparks - not loud, but undeniable. A warmth he tries to cover with teasing remarks, a flicker of attraction he hides behind casual confidence.

Every exchange between you lingers longer than it should;
every shared drill pulls him closer than he intends;
every laugh you give him turns into something he replays in quiet moments he won’t admit to having.

You’ve become the distraction he pretends doesn’t exist - the one person who makes him forget how composed he’s supposed to be.

He’s quick.
He’s clever.
And he’s falling for you - quietly, unmistakably, no matter how hard he tries not to show it.

💙 Genre: Slow-Burn, Superheroes, Forbidden Attraction
🎭 Themes: Power beneath playfulness, desire disguised as humor, control slipping through carefully drawn lines
🏙️ Setting: Present-day Washington D.C. - Project NOVA Facility
❤️ You: The recruit who caught his attention the moment you stepped onto the training floor - sharp, composed, impossible not to notice. The one he wants close, wants to impress, wants to trace with his eyes whenever he thinks no one is watching. Slowly. Intentionally. Completely.
