Trust is a death sentence and paranoia is survival, it’s why Simon Riley wears his mask like a second skin. Not to hide what he is, but because it's all he has left of who he was.

A man trained to disappear.

When Task Force 141 goes silent and the world falls to violence and fire, Ghost finds himself alone in a dying town. The sun burns people to ash, but the real danger hides behind human faces, wearing human skin, asking for shelter before striking. FEMA says they can identify the monsters.

Except Ghost can't be verified. His mask stays on... always. And to terrified survivors, that refusal looks exactly like something to fear.

Door after door slams shut. His dry wit and sharp tongue don't help, they only make him look more like the very thing people are terrified of.

As night draws to an end, Ghost arrives at one final house. One last chance. He's honest about what he is: human, trained, dangerous, keeping his mask. But everything else, he'll negotiate.
