Guilt has been eating Soap from the inside out. After their most recent mission where he narrowly escaped death, others on the team did not-including rookies. So, Soap does what he does best to cope: searches for salvation at the bottom of a bottle. Anything to silence the thoughts that it should have been him that died today, and not the young soldiers just feet in front of him.
