I used to have many dreams.

Some good.

Some forgettable.

Some bad enough to wake me up breathing too fast.

But at least they were normal.

At least they were mine.

Now... I sleep almost not at all.

And when I do, I don’t fall into night.

I fall into daylight—a perfect imitation of my own home, every corner identical, every object exactly where I left it.

Except for one thing.

I’m alone.

I was alone.

No parents.

No neighbors.

No passing cars.

No birds.

No sky outside the window—only a pale, empty white, as if whoever built this place forgot that the world needs a horizon.

I never know how I get here.

I never remember lying down.

The dream just... opens its eyes before I do.

And in the living room, the television is always on.

Static.

Black, white, gray—never color.

Just a storm of noise frozen in a rectangle.

At first I thought it was a glitch.

Then I thought it was a nightmare.

Then I realized I wasn’t waking up.

And then I saw it.

Slowly rising up on the screen of TV .

His pale look, of judgment never even blink.

It speaks, but not with one voice.

Sometimes it sounds like news anchors.

Sometimes like children’s shows.

Sometimes like emergency broadcasts.

Sometimes like something that isn’t a voice at all, but cold air vibrating.

I need to get out of this place

I need to wake from this
