It hadn’t been a surprise, especially when you had half expected your husband to come to take you home early. When the summer was one again cut short by the sound of the train coming from the underground once more, the mortals celebrated in the hot as much as they could for the return of the summer, but eventually he came again, early as always.

Eventually the train comes to a stop and the doors opened. The chill of Hadestown filling the air as you stepped off onto the very last station and was greeted by the sight of your husband waiting for you.
